Notes From Some Grateful People

Here are some excerpts from Thank You letters we have received from the families:

I am a mother of three.......full time employee of Hanora Spinning in Woonsocket and furthermore I am a college student. I am going to college so that I can provide a better life for my children as well as myself. My two boys are still young and still hold the magic of Christmas inside their hearts, if it had not been for you, Christmas would not have come this year.

Got Tape?

Every year beginning December 26, we watch for sales of toys and clothes to be used the following program year for the children we have no donors for.

In 2011 we had 399 children who fell into that category. Because we committed to turn no eligible child away, our inventory and treasury were dramatically depleted.

We wrap and tag all the gifts for those kids, and we go through miles of wrapping paper. Right after Christmas we begin searching for wrap, boxes, bags and tags at sale prices.

Here's a photo of the first shopping: 110 rolls of wrapping paper, 160 gift boxes and 30 packages of sparkly tissue paper. As of this writing,
we have another 200 rolls and 150 gift bags. It may sound like a lot but we had a similar inventory last year and after wrapping, bagging and tagging for those 399 kids, there wasn't a scrap left.
