Next week is what we call Distribution Week. It's the week when generous folks in the community bring us bags of gifts of toys and clothes that they are anonymously providing for people they don't know; children of families who are just barely keeping a roof over their heads and food in their bellies.We know not everyone has the extra money in their pockets to give to these families.
But do you have some time to give?
From Sunday, December 11 through Saturday, December 17 we will take in 5,000 bags and boxes of gifts for nearly 2,000 children. During that week we usually have 150-180 volunteers to help out. For some reason this year we have far fewer volunteers.
What's that saying? Many hands make work light. We are in need of volunteers.
